ROLE

Damian supports the planning and investment teams, and serves Buttonwood’s earliest clients, some of whom represent three generations of the same family.

PERSONAL

After spending his childhood in Ellicott City, Damian raised his own children in the same area.  Damian Jr. and Haley attended the same high school as their dad and had some of the same teachers. Damian and his wife, Shannon, reside in Baltimore City’s Harbor East. Active in the local Catholic community, Damian has served on the Archdiocese of Baltimore Capital Fundraiser campaign, his church finance committee, and as a Sunday school teacher. 

FUN FACT

In a nod to his Italian American heritage, Damian’s first job (at fourteen years old) was making pizza in an Italian restaurant. Damian’s well-honed pizza making skills are rumored to be the best among his seven siblings.

ROLE

Jeff has been an investment analyst and portfolio manager since joining our profession straight from college. He has appeared on Bloomberg TV and Radio, and has been quoted in Bloomberg News, the Chicago Tribune, Crain's Chicago Business, the Baltimore Business Journal, and The New York Times. 

At Buttonwood, he conducts detailed investment research on all sectors of the economy, keeping a constant watch on the investments the firm owns and the opportunities it does not. So, when clients' needs intersect with a market opportunity, the firm is ready. 

"Knowing how to value a business and how to think about market prices are the most important aspects to demystifying investments. My goal is to find growing businesses that trade for less than they are worth.”

PERSONAL

Jeff was raised in Maryland’s Montgomery County and currently resides in Towson with his wife, Skye, and three young children.

FUN FACT

Love of music is a Malcom family affair. Jeff plays bass guitar in several bands, Skye plays violin, and their son plays piano and sings. On occasion, his family will join him on stage.

As the Digital Marketing Manager, Lisa’s role is to enhance the client experience. Working in collaboration with the management and planning teams, she curates important financial topics and distributes information at relevant times in your life. Connecting clients to timely information, Lisa brings the firm’s messaging to life via online platforms, special events, and newsletters.

PERSONAL

Prior to joining Buttonwood, Lisa worked in public relations, marketing, and publishing. For the past decade, she wrote a column in The Howard County Times. When Lisa and her husband, Tom, became empty nesters, they followed their financial plan to downsize from their Ellicott City house where they raised their two sons. They reside in Baltimore City, where they both enjoy walking to their offices.

Lisa enjoys researching her genealogy. She has done extensive studies on both her and her husband’s families, uncovering documents that date back 200 years.

The advice Alex offers motivates clients to make use of workplace benefits and tax planning opportunities, commit to sensible investments, and insure themselves against risks that could threaten their security.

He and his wife, Marina, live in Baltimore County. According to the couple’s financial plan, they are on schedule to purchase their first home together.

Gennadiy is an avid student of romantic and baroque music. His favorite song is Frederic Chopin’s "Ballade No. 1." He and his wife enjoy classical music performances at The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.

She recently passed the CFP® certification exam, and awaits being granted use of the mark.

Rebecca lives in Baltimore County with her husband Tom, and their dog, Grayson.

Incorporated in Rebecca’s financial plan is her passion to attend New Year’s Eve celebrations around the world. With New York City and Rio de Janeiro events crossed off her bucket list, her next trip is Sydney, Australia... whenever the world gets back to traveling.
